Cambridge Medical Center’s surgery staff is dedicated to providing excellent patient care before, during, and after surgery. Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Over 4,000 surgical procedures are performed each year at the medical center including both inpatient and outpatient (Short Stay) surgeries. Our seven surgical suites are equipped with state-of-the-art technology in keeping with our commitment to quality patient care. There are eight private recovery areas for patients having outpatient surgery. Families can wait for their loved ones in a comfortable waiting area staffed by friendly volunteers.
A wide range of surgical specialists are part of the medical staff at Cambridge Medical Center. Surgical specialties include general surgery, ob/gyn, orthopedics, ophthalmology (eye), ear, nose, and throat (ENT), and urology.
Effective pain management can be a critical factor in patient recovery. Our surgeons are supported by an anesthesia team of seven certified registered nurse anesthetists and a board certified anesthesiologist to administer effective pain management and sedation services.
Other care provided by the surgery department includes chemotherapy and IV therapy services. These services are delivered in an attractive outpatient environment with comfortable furnishings to help the time pass quickly by. Patients with cancer are able to have their chemotherapy treatments closer to home rather than traveling many miles for care. We offer this service to patients whether their oncologist practices at Cambridge Medical Center or at some other facility.
A parking area designated for outpatient surgery is available right outside the Short Stay Surgery entrance for patient convenience. Call 763-689-7989 to talk with the Short Stay Services Department
