Ready to make a difference?
Experience the rewards of being involved in your community. At Cambridge Medical
Center we need people just like you, willing to volunteer your time. We have many
opportunities from rocking babies to working in our gift shop to simply spending
time with someone in need.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is an excellent way to gain experience, learn new skills, meet new
friends and discover hidden talents. Many of our volunteers find giving of their
time to be one of the most fulfilling things they do. Simply put, volunteering
feels good. By taking an active role, you’ll get the chance to connect with others,
share compassion and be an important part of your community. You’ll learn about
others, while learning about yourself.
How can I help?
Many different volunteer positions are available. Read through the five general
areas of volunteering to help determine what you may enjoy. Our volunteer staff
will help match a volunteer position to your interests. If you have something
special in mind, that you don’t see listed, tell us about it. We are always open
to new volunteer opportunities.
Five ways to volunteer:
BE A FRIEND: Support patients and families, spend time with a senior, rock babies
or play with children at our daycare.
SHARE A TALENT: Teach a craft, share a hobby, read a book or play an instrument.
BE AN ADVOCATE: Help with menu selections, greet patients and visitors, help schedule
appointments, or provide transportation.
OFFICE SUPPORT: Help with office tasks, answer phones, type, file, or work in
the gift shop.
HOSPITAL GO-FER: Help medical center staff by running errands throughout the medical
center.
